# Target audience

A target audience is a group of people defined by certain demographics and behavior and identified as being likely customers of a business.

The target audience can be configured using **customer profiling.** Potential **customers** are identified by criteria such as age, race, religion, gender, income level, family size, occupation, education level and marital status.
