# Actual driving speed

The actual driving speed shows **the speed profile of the road segments during the opening hours of your locations.** Depending on the acquired datapack, the speed profile is assessed by smart traffic data or a freeflow method (based on population density) .

The speed profile gives an indication of the structural delay on each road segment. This is used for the calculation of the drivetimes.
